For 25 years, Rancho Pinot has been an original “local” restaurant providing seasonally inspired cooking in a warm, comfortable setting. We focus on healthful, simply prepared, satisfying foods made and served with care & love. Our wine cellar is sure to please. We are proud to support our local community of producers.
Chef Chrysa Robertson’s Northern Italian heritage taught her to appreciate and love food early on. She spent time in California fine-tuning her culinary skills with Nancy Silverton and Mark Peel at Campanile and with Hiro Sone at Terra in Napa Valley.
In 1993, with the help of her hard-working & talented family, she fulfilled her dream and opened her own restaurant, Rancho Pinot.
Chrysa cooked at the prestigious James Beard House in 1998 as a ‘Rising Star of American Cuisine’. She also started the first Phoenix chapter of Slow Food, an educational organization dedicated to the pleasures of the table and to the preservation and sustainability of regional culinary and food producing traditions. In 2011, Chrysa won the “Chef Extraordinaire” award from the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame at the Scottsdale Culinary Festival. She is a member of Women Chefs and Restaurateurs (WCR).
Chrysa has lived in Arizona since 1959 (born 1956 in Detroit). She lives in an 80 year old adobe house with many cats, a couple of dogs and a lot of cactus. She raises hens for eggs and grows herbs for the restaurant.
